Yes, Guatape is probably one of the most iconic small towns in Colombia because of the colorful zocalos. I love leaving a reason to return to a place I’ve traveled! When you visit, definitely look up La Galeria Hostel. It was the highlight of Guatape for me, with beautiful views of the rock and lake.

I only relly did the north coast. I’ve missed so much and I need to go back, both to Medellin and to Guatape. I keep hearing these names pop up. This is such an informative post. I’ve seen the colourful cobbled streets before – mostly Instagram, I had no idea they were from Guatape
